The Little Death

The hour grows late
And I know that our
Time is at hand.

I know that I will weep
For you,
And the tears will fall
Like bursting rain clouds.
And I will cry out in the
When you’re gone.

For a love like ours,
Is unique and incomparable.
Different and true.
I believe that no one has
Ever loved me as you have
And I pray no one ever will.

Because you can read me,
As though you were the one
To write my pages.

You can feel my pain as
Though it were your own.
You are my soul mate,
My creator and my creation
And I will sob for you.

Heartbreak is the little
Death I run from.
It is the torture that
I fear the most.
It is the only thing that
Can conquer me.
And tear my world in twain.

So gift me one last kiss
Before Dawn steals you away.
And I’ll keep our memories,
Bury them in the deep,
Until destiny’s kiss
Brings you back to me.

I will miss you, beloved.

I've always had a passion for writing. In this crazy world that we live in, I find my solace in made up words and make believe stories. Let's escape into the void and forget about it all just for a moment or two.
