Monster

In doing the thing she feared the most,
She freed herself from her past.
The memory will still linger,
But the pain of it won’t.
She forgave herself
For being small.
For being afraid.
For being unable to kill the monster.
Now she had the strength to fight back.
Vanquish the demon,
And release herself from her bonds.
No longer shackled to her shame.
No longer shackled to her fear.
She is weightless from the guilt.
She is weightless from the shame.
She is floating so high, like smoke in the wind.
She confronted her monster and won.
Once and for all, she can be free.

I've always had a passion for writing. In this crazy world that we live in, I find my solace in made up words and make believe stories. Let's escape into the void and forget about it all just for a moment or two.
