Wandering the Earth without you.
Smelling the spring breeze without you.
Longing for you.
Me duele mi Corazon.
You came into my space, like a whirlwind.
Joy came on the trails of your feet.
I worshipped you. Lived through your breath.
Me duele mi Corazon.
But you left in a destructive air.
Leaving devastation in your wake.
I filled my pillow with tears, night after night.
Me duele mi Corazon.
Now, I have to search for a life without you.
I have to relearn how to breathe without you.
I have to rediscover my existence without you.
Me duele mi Corazon.
Mind Blown
Mind-blown.
Touch starved.
When you held me for the first time,
I saw hunger in your eyes.
They told me about you.
You held my face in your hands.
Staring down at me,
I heard the sharp intake of air through your gritted teeth.
You closed your eyes so tight,
To savor the moment.
They warned me about you.
I chased you, you chased me.
We went around and around with each other.
Not wanting to give in.
They said you were bad for me.
I didn’t listen, because I’d be different.
I could tame you.
Ha! I could tame you?
The other way around, perhaps.
They said we’d never make it.
Everyone else is just background noise to us.
And every night is like the first one.
Wild, ravenous, and free.
We fall in love with each other every day.
They should have told you about me.
Villain
Too busy wondering how your lips taste, to wonder if you’re a villain.
I’m drawn to you.
I question myself.
I never do that.
But, there is something about you that is intriguing.
Something about you that I need to know.
I’m leading with my heart, this time.
I hope I’m not wrong.
