Ravish Me

This isn’t a fairytale
That people tell their children
At night.

This isn’t the damsel in
Distress,
Being rescued
By her Prince.

This isn’t the Belle of the ball,
Dancing with her kingly Beast.

No.

This is something different.
This is something darker.
This is something better.

Ravish me,
With the sudden deep kisses
And light touches down my spine.

Ravish me,
With your darkness
As it opens me up
And envelopes my soul.

Ravish me,
With bared teeth on my neck
And bated breath
As the stars look on.

Ravish me,
Until I can’t feel the
Pain anymore.

With undying love at our fingertips,
And the world at our feet;
With a taste of you on my lips,
And my blood on yours;
This is Heaven.
This is Hell.
This is home.

This isn’t a bedtime story with a happy ending.
This isn’t a sweet lullaby,
They sing their babies to sleep
With.

No.

Ours is a story of loss
And tears.
Of torture
And struggle.

Lost in a sea of loneliness,
We found our love written between
The pages of Shelley and Byron.
We found eternity.

We found a thirst that will
Always be quenched.
We found the ability to love without
Fear or worry.

We found immortality
And all we have is time.

Do you trust me?

Because I’ve come for you.
Just take my hand,
And forever can be yours.
